Lo-Budget Remake Of "The Birds"

LOL... I was on the computer a few nights ago, and something outside caught my attention...

I looked out to see a row of starlings along the rooftops of the terrace of 4 houses across the road from me! They were evenly spaced out, all the way along... even on the chimney cans!

Just got this photo taken (didn't want to move in case I scared them) before they flew away to roost...

It was like something out of Hitchcock!

Gloup Wildlife

First photo by me, geese in a field next to the car park at The Gloup, Deerness (more on the Gloup later or tomorrow)... Typical for me, only one of the geese has got his head out!

And a photo my brother took of a chick in a nest in the Gloup... we weren't sure what kind of bird (s)he was, and thought it was a bit late in the year to be still sitting there, but we're no experts...

The Big Tree

The Big Tree, Albert Street, Kirkwall.

Yep, we've got a tree in the middle of what is a fairly narrow main shopping street!

It's been there a loooooooooooooooooong time, and is surviving by the skin of its teeth (not that trees have skin, or teeth, but you know what I mean!) - It's probably not the healthiest tree in the world, but there would be outcry if it was taken away!
