As promised, more about The Gloup, Deerness...
The Gloup is basically a big hole in the cliffs. It's a collapsed sea cave, with a land-bridge across it at the cliff edge, and is navigable by small boat. I've never done that, but it must be amazing!
It's "best" seen in an Easterly swell, because the sea rushes in and sprays up the cliffs... but wear a cagoul if you're going to go then!
